John Eldon has published two books about his life and thoughts throughout a long career in public office as well as a husband, parent, and grandparent. Neither book is currently in print, but John Eldon may be contacted (johneldon@eastlink.ca) to see if he has a few copies still around.
His first book, A Mind of One’s Own: Memoirs of an Albany Boy (Tangle Lane, 2006) was a lengthy collection of life stories. After the line had been drawn, he continued to come up with more missing pieces and produced Still Laughing: Afterthoughts of an Albany Boy (ISBN 978-0-9783995-5-9) in 2010. It continues his philosophic ramblings on such topics as aging, church and state, manhood, and women. Here is the Amazon link even though the book is out of print.
